Born and raised on Vancouver Island, I am a Métis metal artist whose work is shaped by the strength, movement, and raw beauty of the West Coast landscape.
Over a decade ago, I began my artistic practice under the mentorship of Nelson Shaw. His steel bird sculptures—their movement, form, and presence—first drew me to metal as a medium and inspired me to begin creating my own work.
Working from my rural studio, I create sculptural pieces that explore the relationship between steel and the natural environment. Influenced by the forests, coastlines, wildlife, and outdoor culture of Vancouver Island, my work reflects themes of resilience, connection, and transformation.
Through forged steel and reclaimed materials, I aim to capture the essence of the island and translate nature as I experience it—wild, enduring, and deeply connected to place
